NEWARK, Del. (4/10/26) - Two school records were broken as the Kean University women's track and field team competed in the Delaware Invitational hosted by the University of Delaware for the two-day event on Thursday and Friday.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

• Alyssa Seeley placed fifth in the 3000 Steeple Chase (13:43.45).
• Free Daley finished seventh in the 400 M Dash (1:00.33).
• Sarah Knoetig placed fourth in the 400 Hurdles (1:11.11).
• Alina Chant finished eighth in the 5000 M (20:29.81)
• Daley, Sam Gonzalez, Ariana Cadina and Knoetig took fifth in the 4x400 Relay (4:27.82).
• Ashley Cunningham placed ninth in the Shot Put (9.87m)

RECORDS UPDATE

• Alina Chant set a new school record in the 5,000 m with a time of 20:29.81.
• Chant broke Jenna Regnault record of 21:05.18 from the CTC Championships in 2003.
• Seeley set a new school record in the 3,000 m Steeple Chase with a time of 13:43.45*.
• According to Kean's record book, no previous record existed in the Steeple Chase.
