One Record Broken as Women’s Track & Field Competes in Cougars Showcase on Senior Night

UNION, N.J. (4/23/26) – One school record was broken as the Kean University women's track & field team competed in the Cougars Showcase at Kean's Alumni Stadium on Senior Night.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

Sarah Knoetig finished ninth in the 100M (13.29).
Alondra Thais Sanjurjo Mercado placed seventh in the 400M (1:10.29).
Alyssa Seeley finished third in the 400M Hurdles (1:23.76).
Kathy Valle Reyes finished first in the 1500M (5:22.56).
Jadesola Olayinka took second in the Long Jump (4.77m).
Free Daley finished first in the 800M (2:22.84).
Ashley Cunningham placed fifth in the Shot Put (10.00m).
Sam Gonzalez finished seventh in the 200M (27.27).

RECORD UPDATE

Kathy Valle Reyes set a new school record in the 1500 m with a time of 5:22.56.
Reyes broke Jenna Regnault record of 5:23.57 from the Osprey Open in 2005.
