UNION, N.J. (6/9/26) - The Kean University flag football team finished 6-10 overall and 5-7 in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) under Head Coach Mandrele Hansford in his first season at the helm of the Cougars.

Season Highlights

• Took part in the NY Jets Flag Football Media Day at Met Life Stadium.
• Won their first game ever with a 26-18 victory over Penn State Schuylkill on Feb. 28^th.
• Earned their first home victory with a shutout of LIU on Mar. 19^th.
• Defeated the University of Montana in the Garden State vs. Garden City Flag Football Classic on Apr. 18^th.

Stat Leaders

• Passing: Jazriel Miranda – 1130 yards and 14 touchdowns.
• Rushing: Miranda – 183 yards and one touchdown.
• Receiving: Sela Lefler - 661 yards and 10 touchdowns.
• Defense: Nia Rivera – 28 Tackles and three TFL's.
• Defense: Lefler – 26 tackles, eight interceptions, and three TFL's.
• Special Teams: Jessica Welcome – 435 punting yards.
