Field Hockey Sweeps NJAC Weekly Awards

PITMAN, N.J.  (3/15/21) – The Kean University field hockey team has swept the New Jersey Athletic Conference weekly awards to open the 2021 spring season. Ja'Carra Jackson has been named the NJAC Player of the Week, while Belly Reynoso earned NJAC Defensive Player of the Week and Krista O'Grady has been selected the NJAC Rookie of the Week.

Jackson totaled five points on two goals and one assist as the Cougars went 2-0 this past week. She finished with a goal and an assist in the 4-2 victory over Montclair State. In the 2-1 victory over Stockton, she notched the game-winner in the 54th minute.

Reynoso made three saves for a .750 save percentage and a 0.78 goals against average in two victories this past week.

O'Grady notched both the first goal and the first defensive save of her career in the victory over Montclair State on Mar. 9th.

Head Coach Leslie LaFronz and the Cougars will return to action in Montclair, N.J. on Wednesday, Mar. 17th, against the Red Hawks of Montclair State University at 7:00 p.m.
