Flemings Selected 2023 NFHCA Division III National Scholar-Athlete

MANAHAWKIN, N.J. (2/26/24) - Jenna Flemings has been selected this year's NFHCA Division III National Scholar-Athlete.

The distinction is bestowed annually upon the Division III All-American with the highest cumulative grade-point average for the current academic year's fall semester. Flemings achieved an outstanding 3.94 GPA.

She started every game and played every minute (1211:20) this past season for 14-6 Kean, leading the Cougars to the Division III Final Four, making 136 saves and posting a 1.19 goals-against average for the season.

Recognizing her exceptional contributions both on and off the field, Flemings has received numerous accolades, such as selection to the NCAA Division III Championship All-Tournament Team, NFHCA Division III First Team All-American, NFHCA Division III Regional IV First Team (and Regional IV Player of the Year), NJAC Goaltender of the Year for the third consecutive season, All-NJAC First Team, ECAC All-Star, and Synapse Sports First-Team All-American.

Flemings has earned additional recognition for her academic achievements, including the NFHCA Scholar of Distinction and NFHCA National Academic Squad.

She is the second student-athlete from Kean University to receive the National Scholar-Athlete award. Lia DiPiazza was recognized with the honor in 2021.
