Dan Zeffiro holds the distinction of being a two-time All-American, in addition to earning the prestigious Rawlings Gold Glove for his defense during the run to the 2007 Division III National Championship. In the championship run, he tossed a 12 inning complete game gem during the World Series, holding the Cortland two, three and four hitters to an 0-for-14 performance. That game still stands as a single-game record for innings pitched in the Kean record books. He closed out his career tossing 24 consecutive innings without allowing an earned run. During his sophomore season, he posted a 0.90 ERA, the lowest in the nation in all of Division III. Zeffiro left Kean with a 28-8 record with 21 complete games to his credit. He struck out 226 batters in over 300 innings pitched and held a 2.43 career ERA. Zeffiro signed with the Cincinnati Reds organization in June of 2007.
