The first superstar goal scorer in Kean (then Newark State College) history, Peter Alli starred for the men's soccer team from 1971 through 1973 and still ranks in the top five in every major scoring category.
A first-team All-Conference selection all three years, Alli also earned second-team All-Region honors in 1972 to along with honorable mention All-Region distinction in 1973 and first-team All-State accolades in 1971 and 1972.
Alli is second in school history in career goals (58), points (150) and assists (34). He scored 21 goals in both the 1971 and 1972 seasons, and his five-goal effort against Ramapo College in 1972 is the third-highest single game total in Kean men's soccer annals. He led Newark State to a 29-13-3 mark in his three seasons, including the program's first conference title in 1973.
Alli earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in management science in 1976.
