Kean University Cougars
Hall of Fame
Jason Sgaramella was the heart and soul of the football team during his four-year starting career. He led the Cougars for three consecutive years on the field as a starting quarterback before unselfishly switching positions for his senior campaign. He was a two-year captain, retired with the then school-record for completed passes (278) and was second in both passing yards (2,733) and yards from scrimmage.
He still holds a record for most passes in a game, done against Rowan in 1999. He is currently mentioned in the Kean record book nine different times, and was an All-NJAC selection.
