A three-time captain and prolific goal scorer, Jeffrey Miller starred from 1971 through 1974 on some of the most successful lacrosse teams ever produced by Kean.

Miller led the 1974 squad with 27 goals and 19 assists, helping the Squires (now Cougars) to a 9-4 record, their first Knickerbocker Conference Championship and their first postseason appearance in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament. He netted three goals against C.W. Post in the ECAC Tournament.

As a junior, Miller led the team to an 8-3 record en route to being selected to appear in the Outstanding Athletes in America. He compiled 119 career points and was an All-Knickerbocker Conference pick in both 1973 and 1974. The program won 28 games over his four seasons against 20 losses.

Miller also played two seasons of varsity basketball at Kean.

Miller earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Kean in 1974.
