Rich Eger was a standout on the soccer pitch, leading the Cougars to a two-year record of 33-9-1, including a program-best 20-2 record his senior year. Despite playing just two seasons at Kean, he remains third all-time in career points, with 147, fourth in assists, with 31, and fifth in career goals, with 43.
Eger was a first-team All-NJAC selection in 1996 and again in 1997, when he set single-season school records with 77 points and 19 assists, and finished second all-time in single-season goals with 29. Following that season, Eger was tabbed a second-team All-American, NJAC Player of the Year, first-team All-Mid-Atlantic Region choice and was named to the Collegiate Soccer Association of New Jersey first team.
Eger graduated from Kean in 2000 with a degree in Physical Education and currently resides in Rahway, N.J.
