A four-year star from 1971-1974, Eileen Boyer Moretti was a major player at first and second singles and at first doubles for some of the most successful teams in the history of the University.

Boasting a career record of 26-8 in match play, Moretti played primarily second singles as a freshman in 1971, compiling a sterling 8-0 mark and advancing to the semifinals of the New Jersey Women's Intercollegiate Tournament.

The following season, Moretti went 6-2, leading the team to a 5-1 mark. She lost in the second round of the Fall Intercollegiate Tournament, but advanced to the quarterfinals of the State Intercollegiates in the spring before losing to the top seed.

As a junior, Moretti helped lead the squad to the championship of the New Jersey Women's Intercollegiate Tournament while posting a 6-3 record at first singles during the regular season. She was the singles runner-up in the state tournament and teamed with Cathy Martinson to win the doubles crown, defeating Kean's other doubles entry, which included Kathy Matthews, in the finals. The team held off second-place finisher Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey) by a single point. Moretti and Martinson also advanced to the third round of the Eastern Intercollegiates that year.

Moretti again played to a 6-3 mark in her senior campaign, helping the team to a 7-5 record. Moretti and Martinson were paired up again in the Easterns before losing in the third round.

Moretti earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Kean in 1975.
