Nick Medvedich left his mark on the men's lacrosse program at Kean University in producing one of the most prolific careers in school history. Medvedich anchored a program that was 46-12 during his time in a Cougar uniform. He was a stalwart on teams that captured one Knickerbocker Conference championship and advanced to the championship game of the Eastern College Athletic Conference Tournament three times, including winning the 1995 ECAC Championship.
A four-time Knickerbocker Conference all-star, Medvedich was named Kean's Most Valuable Player and New Jersey Lacrosse Player of the Year for both the 1993 and 1995 seasons. Medvedich also garnered All-New Jersey Spring Sports Association honors and is one of only five players in program history to be selected to the prestigious North-South All-Star game. In 2011 he was elected into the New Jersey Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
In 1993, Medvedich led the Cougars to the Knickerbocker title with a school-record 14 wins and set the program record in single-season goals and points. That year, he set a then-school record with 71 goals and 119 points. Those numbers currently place him fifth on the single-season list for goals and tied for fourth in points for a season. Medvedich concluded his career as the program's all-time leader in goals, assists and points, currently ranking first in points (392) and second in both goals (217) and assists (175).
Medvedich earned a Bachelors of Science degree in management science from Kean in 1995.
